Independent Composers Artists Authors and Publishers Association ICAAPA is the only world wide nonprofit association of song writers, preforming artists, music composers, Actors, pastors, Christian TV Producers, graphic artists, videographers, book and print publishers. Our primary purpose is to recognize achievements in the creative, recording arts, ministry and publishing including all digital picture and creative works. The internet has changed the way in which created works are shared, sold and streamed via devices like smart phones and computers. What was inaccessible to the people of earth 30 years ago has become achievable to Billions. The average song writer once had to manufacture records, CDs or Albums for thousands of dollars and the average creator or independent preforming artist had to work hard in concert tours and meetings with A&R reps to get "signed" and get distribution into stores. Today we only need to set up accounts with Amazon and DistrKid or other online services to get heard and world wide exposure in virtually hours from finished product to market. We create the market shifters that travel the universe merging art, song and words into life. Books, Music, Art and finance mold together into one performance live or on social media. We seek to give awards to those who deserve acknowledgement for missions unrewarded by the traditional awards such as Grammys, CMA and other exclusive organizations. When did you ever hear of a Christian TV pastor getting an award for producing worshipcasts ? As a 508a2 public charity registered with the IRS, we give all our profits and membership fee proceeds to missions, ministry and aid to creators of content worthy of praise and awards. We also provide for creation of charity and faith based content. Our most recent efforts included pandemic aid to missions around the world feeding those who lost income during the covid19 pandemic.
Many old school organizations such as RIAA and others have been overwhelmed by the changes and the need to update to the emerging lightspeed social media networks. The small independents have the advantages of not being tied to old systems that slow down production and is not conducive to fast moving changes in the way we listen to music, read and enjoy creative arts. For example NFTs have combined art, music and cryptocurrency into a cultural phenomenon of investment in visual arts, songs and profitable gains. Online peer fund rasiers have enabled such content Hollywoods would never consider creating like "The chosen". Dr Merrick's viral country song "Pennsylvania" would never be produced or promoted by big labels in the music industry. That is why we combined creative content awards with charity to enable you with the tools of creativity and recognition.
ICAAPA is here to make room for you and fill the needs of emerging independent individuals, charities, ministries and businesses that want to combine efforts to recognize achievements and support charity while helping others to become successful.
Membership Requirements:
You must be an independent Composer, artist (paint, graphic,gif, etc.), singer, songwriter, author, publisher, writer, actor, minister or creative person, nonprofit or faith based business. Any creator of any form of art or creative works they sell independently and use any digital means to market are eligible to join. NPOs are also encouraged to join to award ministry workers for their services such as worship leaders, musicans, chiors and music ministries. Christian TV shows and film makers have a home here at ICAAPA.

Gold Records - $250 cost each
Qualification:
A producer, artist, publisher, author, performer or musician who has contributed to a work for which has DRDS
(Digital Royalty Downloads and Streams)
Totaling by category as follows-
Books - 10,000 sales in print or ebook.
Songs, Videos, Actors or Audio works - 500,000 DRDS. (DVD Type awards)
NFT or Cryptocurrency creations with a market cap of $1M and or sales of 500,000
DRDS (may be issued cryptocurrency sales in any format)
Digital Art, podcasts or Videos may be combine on different platforms or delivery for the same work that may be a combined product such as NFT with Music, Music Video or TV show with music. Broadcasts must reach a rating share of 500,000 viewers per episode for at least one episode or a combined video feed.
Platinum - $350 cost each with 1,000,000 DRDS. Books 20,000 NFT - Crypto $2M Market Cap.
Double Platinum - $450 cost each 2M DRDS. Books 30,000 NFT - Crypto $5M Market Cap.
Members can nominate other members or nonmembers in their organizations or who contributed to the nominated project.
Charting Awards - Broken Records - Instumental: $270 cost each
Any project that charts with an independent source can get a chart award.
Categories such as songs, book cover art, crypto art or words, lyrics and musical instrumentalists or arrangements are suggested examples.
A work may be a song, with cover art, with a NFT attached and combined content for which musicians, singers, artists and producers all contributed to the creative work. Each contributor is eligible for an award.
For nonmembers add $50 to each the award cost.
Nomination Audits and submissions cost $50 and must include Royalty reports, sales reports and streaming or digital content download totals verified by screenshots, website links or Radio and TV networks feeds or reports.
Examples:
Amazon sales royalties reports.
Spotify Engagement and streaming statistics.
Tunecore or Distrokid statistical data and payment reports.
Website links to market caps by 3rd party publishers or sales platforms.
For NFT or Crypto art market caps screen shots and links must be included in nonmination.
Proceeds after costs of NPO Operations are distributed to charity efforts as directed by our 509a2 public charity board, standards or projects to Include creative works grants to members when announced. Members may provide links to their websites with donation links to help support their creativity.
Where other awards and achievement level organizations fall short is moving into the digal age and adjusting to real world wide reach and recognition. That is why we are different and a NPO. We allow combined YouTube videos with Tidal and Spotify plays or streams for example where other put arbitrary content restrictions that fail to recognize achievements in the digital age.
RIAA takes Digital streams and reduces the value by calling 150 to 1500 streams only 1 unit. Such goals for backed signed artists and producers with big money labels is easy to overcome yet fails to acknowledge the independent creator of works often better liked by the public.
Our goal is in part to remove that disparagement gap that suppresses the creative mind and overcome by inspiration to keep on creating. We are a 509a2 GuideStar Gold seal Charity. Our president Rev. Cpt. Daniel W Merrick PhD is a pastor, artist, musician, author, radio and TV host of "Yah's Way TV" on the Now Network Christian Television station broadcasting the message of salvation to the world wide cable and satilite channels and apps to over 236 million viewers each week. He takes no salary and depends on donations to keep his world wide missions going with only his veterans pension to pay for his personal needs. Mebership is NOT required to nominate or give and get an award through this site. See the membership page to order non-member awards. You must provide links to qualifications to verify the awards. If you are giving a private award to a pastor, worship leader, or even your favorite artist for a unlisted type of award, just give us that information in the order message or email and we will do all we can to help you with your special thanks to those who have impressed you. Although membership is encouraged to help us with our charity efforts, it is not required to get or give an ICAAPA Award.

Born of All-Nighters
Starting out, the idea of living in the studio band life was the last thing on our minds. After we did all the local gigs, we realized the only way for us to evolve as a band was to record our originals. Over the next five years, we logged thousands of gigs — with the occasional festival appearance — in cities around the world. Our time on the road proved crucial in shaping our sound but didn't provide us with a product. We did studio work and created NFTs with our music. Even though we got thousands of streams and even some Spotify charts makers in the top 10, other organizations failed to support us with recognition.
Global Future
We’re packing up the gear for an extended overseas tour in support of our new album. Our set list will prominently feature the new stuff but also dive into favorites from our previous releases. ICAAPA gives us the recognition for streams and work we do in the world wide market. Thanks to ICAAPA we were able to get the whole picture that connects the world through the internet and share it with the universe. Colablorations and connetions through the associated members helped us score a grammy award winning producer.

Musiciams and bands can connect to share playlisters and gain more fans through membership. Promotions and advertising is key to success in the fast paced world of soical media marketing. Worship casts can give awards and share links to the awards they received.
